Hello from New Orleans!

Ellie and I grabbed dinner from Real Deal and brought it over to Cameryn's apartment, picking up some ice along the way. We were the first guests to arrive for the party. Once it got started, things went well. Cameryn apparently receives the porn industry's trade magazine, so people spent time looking through that and lol'ing at porn titles. Ellie turned to the charts (because there are porn charts just like there are music charts) and read off the funniest titles. For series with huge numbers of sequels, we played The Price Is Right: guess which number the porno series is on, closest without going over wins. (There was something at over 700, what the hell.)

Cameryn kicked the last stragglers out at half past two so she could sleep, and I had to finish packing. Got that done just in time to head for the airport. Because the first train wasn't until 6 and my flight left at 8:14, I didn't have to wait around for very long. Uneventful flight, just a little bit of turbulence. We got in early, even. \o/

Mom and Dad met me at the airport, and we headed to Taqueria Corona. The Elmwood location is closed on Sundays (as far as we could tell), so we drove to Magazine. And then I went right to bed when we got to the house. I woke up some time after one, talked to Cory for a while, caught up with my email and tumblr, and had breakfast with my parents.

My parents are growing some vegetables, including baaaaaaaby tomatoes (I have beads that are bigger than these things, seriously. There are raspberries in the fridge that are larger than the tomatoes) and zucchini. One of which had gone off - I poked it and it went *squish* under my fingers - so Mom picked it up to toss and it fell apart, and half of it went splat on the linoleum.

I made a few pendants right after breakfast - yeah, I packed some jewelry stuff - and then I took a shower and returned to my computer. I chatted with Cameryn briefly, and I'm now caught up on my dreamroll.

Mom and I got lunch and groceries, then waited at home until Dad finished work. Then we went to look at new tires for Dad's truck.

There was a nasty incident my first year at work, involving a forgotten sack of potatoes and several weeks of migraines on my part (until the cleaner found them by putting her hand into the slimy, goopy mess). So, yeah, sympathies on that part. It sounds like you're having a nice relaxed time. Yay holidays.
