• Happy birthday to
sihaya09,
hansbekhart, and my LJ. Yes, that's right, today is my third LJversary with this account.
• My left ear is occasionally kind of sore and/or itchy. I think it's just being pissy, and the piercing is actually fine. *crosses fingers, spritzes with saline*

Having finally found my Italian textbook, I'm now tearing the house apart looking for my printer cables. In my entire fandom career, I've only printed out one other fic (
lightfingers's Playing Games), and hard copies are something I reserve for the very best of the best. I love this story so much it hurts.)

(Post-MCR, Frank has trouble moving on. And Patrick makes him learn to play the didgeridoo. My favorite line from it is "The thing about life is that it keeps going, good or bad, until it stops. Frank isn't ready to stop yet. It hurts and it's terrible and wonderful and difficult, and he doesn't want it to stop.")
And now, sleep.

He just can’t settle. And dammit, he should be able to settle.
With a heavy heart, Gerard comes to realize that there’s only one thing for it.
He’s going to have to go to Ikea.

She wets her lips and looks away, a little, breathing as she looks at the join of wall and ceiling for strength. "I- You need to know. About. I-" She bites her lower lip, face screwing up in a little grimace, and it sounds like some awful Pinocchio parody, when she husks it out in her soft, sweet voice. But she doesn't know how to say it any other way. "I'm not- I'm not a real girl."

The four things which make the afterlife of Pete Wentz vaguely tolerable are: killing vampires, playing music, killing vampires, and Patrick.
The four things which make the afterlife of Pete Wentz completely miserable are: vampires he hasn't killed yet, the goddamn Dandies, the goddamn cocktail, and Patrick.

Every note has a frequency, a cycle, a compression of a specific volume of air; these are all key concepts Patrick learned before he even arrived at Rutgers, before he chose his double major of music and physics, before he signed over his life and his very soul to studying. At 3:21AM on a Tuesday, halfway through the second semester of his third year, Patrick learns that he does in fact have a breaking point, and he can physically hear himself rushing toward it, in the hollow swell of blood that pumps through his ears, and the way his fingers go slowly numb.
(College AU. Patrick is freaking out, Frank works for the health center hotline.)

Three days from Chimney Rock they realize something is missing.
Namely, Brent.
They left Brent at Chimney Rock.

Gerard's first book is called Leonard's Purple Balloon, and it's about how it's okay to like purple balloons instead of red balloons or green balloons, even though your friends might make fun of you. Frank buys a copy at the Borders near his house at midnight, and he sits in his car while he reads it, the crisp pages illuminated by the parking lot's sodium lights. Gerard's drawings are careful and brightly-colored. It makes Frank cry a little, sitting there in his family-friendly hybrid, imagining Gerard working on the book, maybe hunched over the kitchen table in his house in LA, his fingers stained with ink.
