end-of-semester hell weekend, ahoy

I am now the proud owner of these boots. I got them for about 94% off. (When we play D&D at Loraine's apartment, I stop at Buffalo Exchange on my way, to see whether they've got anything I simply must have.)

The two biggest assignments of the semester are both due early next week, so there goes my weekend. (Except for a brief respite on Sunday, when I'm doing a Special Thing for work.)

(I maybe should have stayed home from Shadowrun last night, since without our GM we weren't going to be advancing any plot or earning any karma and nuyen. But I like my friends, so I went. We watched Buffy and played Cards Against Humanity.)

(I think I used up all my luck, and possibly all the group's luck, finding these boots. We failed a couple of essential rolls and now we have to flee the country.)

No, seriously, I don't think I can articulate the level of envy I'm experiencing. I love that particular style family of Fluevog, and to find those at a Buffalo Exchange? That is some LUCK. Congrats!

I know! I spotted the Mini heel sticking out of a pile of boots and shoes on the top shelf of their shoe area - I think that's why they were still there when I arrived.

Owning a pair of Fluevogs that fits! just makes me want more. There's a store on Newbury Street... that I am not allowed to enter until I have the money to buy shoes like that at full price.
