I'm actually restricting myself to the cool stuff that shows up on my dreamroll (whether in a journal I subscribe to or as a link), because otherwise I'd never have the time to contribute anything to the fest!

A block party is definitely what it feels like. And man, it is just as exhausting as one. I had to go skip 160 back on my flist and I am still not caught up (and that's not even counting the tabs I opened). Good thing I don't have anything really pressing to do today...

Yeah, it's killing me that I have to work on this paper now - I wanna read my dreamroll! But I don't want to grovel for an extension, so paper it is. I may wind up using the "view reading page by date" feature if the content creation rate keeps this pace.

I've seen a bunch of people recently discussing how Dreamwidth feels like you could know everyone on the site, and I am just flailing and thinking "oh no you can't!" *avalanche* This is good! But kind of overwhelming.

I think, at least for me, it's not so much that you could know everyone, as that you could have a vague idea of who all the major people are, like with a small village - there are people I barely know, but I know some of their friends and I have a vague idea that they live over to the north/in some of those fandoms/comment a lot in dw_suggestions, even if I don't actually know them.

I definitely still feel this way, even though I know that can't be true, if only because there are probably social groups I never bump into.

I'm going to try to post every day, too, but I know what you mean. I think the timing was kinda "lucky" for me since today and tomorrow are my days off, and my car is at the mechanic's until tomorrow afternoon.

My real life will be calming down soon, at least. I have to turn in my long paper Wednesday afternoon and take my last final on Thursday, and then the only demand on my time for the rest of Three Weeks is my part-time job.
