I'm not in bandom. I'm not exactly sure what's happened, though I'm picking up hints from my bandom friends' journals and so it's possible I'm totally off here, but I want to say this.
I may not like MCR, P!ATD or FOB's music, participate in their fandoms or even stop rolling my eyes fondly and pretending to block my ears when my little sister puts one of their CDs on, but if they're helping to push the boundaries of what is socially acceptable, if they're helping to change current attitudes for the better, if they're helping the kid who I was five years ago who thought that pretending to be straight was the only way to fit in, if they're helping to create a new, less bigoted generation? They have my whole-hearted support.
