Deep thoughts: sexuality and relationships edition.
Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 22:01On sexuality: I was just thinking about who I'm attracted to and why. I find a lot of people's personalities attractive. I think they're fun and interesting and I'd consider them friends. I find a lot of people attractive on an aesthetic level. Many, many girls. A fair few guys.
But if we're talking about raw sexual "let's get naked NOW" attraction... that would be twice. In my whole life. The first time? I dated him for a year and a half. The second time? I wish I had that kind of option.
On relationships: It's really rare for me to instinctively trust someone face-to-face (I find it much easier on the internet, but that doesn't mean I blab my deep dark secrets to everyone who stumbles across my LJ - that's what filters are for!). I can count on one hand the number of people in real life toward whom I've felt that kind of trust. I dated one of them for a year and a half. And one of them is the other guy I wanted to bang pretty much at first sight. The others were people I didn't actually want to sleep with.
