Problematic shit aside, I find the idea of deliberately condescending to someone defending their privilege, in the same way that you have witnessed them condescending to people who challenge their privilege, really appealing. (In a way, it's good that I have been socialized into excessive niceness and conflict aversion - otherwise I would be vicious.)
