*flop* I definitely ran out of spoons for socializing. I'm still suffering those effects.

Stuff that happened: I met a bunch of people! Including zeenell in meatspace for the first time, viklikesfic, cesy, cinco, eleanor_lavish, schuyler, melannen, libitina, merisunshine36, and lots of other people.

A+++ con, would attend again. (Already preregistered for 2012!)

3PM: Crackfic (debate over the definition of AU, as well as various people's thoughts on why some fandoms are full of crack and others are not)
4PM: Kinked for Kink Memes (list of kink memes compiled, discussion of the increasing kink-friendliness of fandom)
5PM: Free Culture & Open Source Software (Dreamwidth and AO3, represented by synecdochic and cesy)

12PM: RPF DIY Panel (in which we made a nice long list of more obscure RPF characters and pairings we want someone to write about)
1PM: Bandom Panel (schuyler and eleanor_lavish brought booze so we could drown our sorrows)
2PM: AUs (in many ways, a continuation of the crackfic panel which had been dominated by the discussion of AUs)
3PM: Leverage OT3 (because I do totally ship it, and I fucking love the show)
4PM: White Collar (further talk of OT3s!)
5PM: Fandom Suddenly Loves the Ladies (in which female characters can be more than The Love Interest, the lines between slash and het are no longer quite so defended with razor wire, and OT3s happen way more than they used to)

Eee, glad you had a good time -- it sounds really fun! I would love to see some of the very long lists, especially the gay and lesbian movies one. Less tragedy and misery, pls!

That one hasn't been posted, but viklikesfic was running the RPF panel and has the RPF wishlist as well as a nu!Trek wishlist, and ktnb has a list of kink memes. I haven't seen the glbt film list anywhere yet, though. :(

Hello! I too am still suffering from overpeopleness, but omg, I had a fantastic time--and now I want to attend cons all the time. Quarterly! Well, probably not. But it was so much fun!

And sadly I am already confused about who was who--my name/face recognition is not what it could be. Was your username the same as your nametag, or were you perhaps wearing anything memorable? Just in case other people have these problems, I'm usually the shortest person in range and was the one asking everyone heaps of n00b bandom questions. ;-D

I was Sofia Blackthorne, but I added sofiaviolet to my badge at some point during the weekend. I had a green bag made of what my sister claims is Volkswagen seat upholstery from the 1970s and wore a Mikey Fuckin Way shirt and a red dress with polka dots.

I definitely remember you - I think solarcat introduced us.

Ah, the t-shirt narrows it down quite a bit but I think there were three of you wearing them at various times in the weekend (and I don't actually *get* that shirt but it made me laugh anyway!)--do you have black hair or blondish hair? I'll figure everyone out eventually. :-D Sadly it's been hard for me to link up different handles if there was any difference at all between the person's badge name and username! And I've done it myself, being cinco on dw and cincodemaygirl on lj. I wish I could be cinco everywhere, but people tend to beat me to it...

And the Mikey Fuckin Way thing - IDK the exact origin, but Mikey himself wore the shirt onstage a few times, and then they made it official merch for their last tour before going on the really long break they are still taking, fuckers.

Oh my gosh, that's pretty awesome. But then, if my fandom made a shirt like that with my name, I'd wear it... I think!

Keep me posted! I will announce my travel plans on DW also. Right now I am having the "Why does everything have to be in freaking OCTOBER" eeps. In October, there is:

* the SENG conference, which would be good for the career I don't have yet and would like to, but is also hugely expensive because they expect you to have an academic department behind you, and I don't;
* the Alternative Press Expo
* Stompede, which is like a GLBT country-western dancing con
* OVFF, a small filk convention I often go to because I can see all my friends from Ohio, Kentucky and WV there;
* Yaoi-Con
* Wincon

and also, BAScon is the first weekend of November.

Somehow I have to get the entire month of October off and come up with $2-3000 between now and then.

I, ah, don't think this is going to really happen.

The SENG thing makes me sad that I will probably have to cut it, because it's in New England, and sathari will be there, and I could probably manage to hit Boston. But only if I can come up with $275 to get in, $65 or whatever for the big dinner, plane fare and whatever a hotel room costs. D: D: D:

I am terribly confused. I had my eye out for you all weekend, and was apparently in the same room as you several times, including the STR and Leverage parties, but I forgot to ask what name you'd have on your badge beforehand, and I completely missed you. Rats!
