21 Days of Dreamwidth
3. Do you crosspost? Why or why not?I do, most of the time. Not during 3W4Dw (obviously), and not filtered posts (so, anything on sexfilter, since I don't actually use the other filters I've set up). There have also been times where I didn't crosspost any locked stuff. For quite a while now, I've had crossposting off by default, although I do remember to tick the ticky at least on public posts.
I had LJ posts set to friends-only for a few months because LJToys showed a couple of hits from Evil Ex's friends page and that just made me feel icky. I don't remember if I've set them back to public - I think so - but on the whole, I don't care that much.
If I didn't still have a few friends who are insufficiently committed to journaling to care where they are and a few locked journals I don't want to get defriended by, I would quit crossposting.

I like to think of my polyamorous heart as a house with many rooms. It’s constructed by the people I love, and filled with warmth and memories. It grows as each person I love adds something to my house, maybe a decoration or boardgame, maybe an entire new room.
A federal justice report on policing in New Orleans since 2009 presents damning evidence of brutality, cop misconduct and systemic abuse of black citizens post-Katrina. The city’s jails are not far behind.

There may be times when suffering is inevitable, occasions when it is even necessary. It is, however, not in and of itself a good thing. Things that reduce it are good things.

To that end, I would love it if people took this as an opportunity to name their accessibility problems with dreamwidth, however small. I'm going to go back and look through the archives of this community, and I'm going to look at all the accessibility bugs in bugzilla, so don't feel you need to repeat things which have already been said. But don't worry about repeating accessibility concerns which have already been said, either; I have no problem with duplicates. Also, don't worry about only reporting accessibility issues you think WAI-ARIA can fix -- report everything, and I will figure out if WAI-ARIA can do anything to improve the user experience.
