I have stopped braining myself on the ceiling!! New problem: bed is too far from alarm clock. Suspect it is time for fun with extension cords.

Room fix-ups continue. I have made a nice detailed to-do list, and I'm going to try and knock a sub-item or two out before dinner.

02) What was your dream growing up? To be a waitress at Shoney's. I managed that at age 18 so my life's work is done.
03) What talent do you wish you had? A lot more musical ability. I can play instruments, but that's because I work at it. I'd like to have a more musical ear instead of one that requires memorization.
04) If I bought you a drink, what would it be? A Manhattan.
05) Tell me one thing you like about yourself. I make strange things look good.
06) What was the last book you read? The last book I finished was Sitt Marie Rose, but I'm in the middle of at least three other books.
07) What zodiac sign are you? Gemini and Ox. (Chinese zodiac, yes?)
08) Any tattoos and/or piercings? What and where? (And why, if you'd like to tell.) I have 10 piercings and no tattoos. Piercings: 2 x right earlobe, 1 x left earlobe, 1 x right nostril, 1 x left Monroe, 2 x lower lip (snakebites), 2 x nipples (matched set), 1 x cooch. I'm angling for a new piercing or two when I'm in Philly for spring break.
09) Worst habit? I talk too much.
10) If you could have any one thing, right now, what would it be? My wife in the same country and time zone as me.
11) What is your favorite sport? Baseball, but only if the Phils are playing.
12) Are you naturally optimistic or pessimistic? Optimistic.
13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me? I'd probably be reading a book and hoping that you had a way to entertain yourself.
14) Worst thing to ever happen to you (that you're willing to share here)? I'm sure my life is full of terrible things, but I can't think of anything that's just #1 Baddest Thing Evar.
15) Tell me one weird thing about you. I have an on-demand accent that is, actually, authentic. (I've been able to code-switch like this my entire life.)
16) Do you have any pets? Two guinea pigs. They are cute.
17) What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly? I'd be rather excited.
18) What was your first impression of me? You are the type of person I'd have a crush on if we lived in the same place.
19) Clowns: Cute or scary? All clowns who exist outside of the "sad clown" genre are cute.
20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be? I would be slightly less squidgy around the tummy.
21) Would you be my partner in crime or my conscience? Depends on the situation and who would be harmed.
22) What color are your eyes? One is brown and one is green.
23) Have you ever been arrested? Yes, but it was anonymous so it's not on my record.
24) Soda/beer: Bottle or can? Coke? Can or fountain. Beer? Bottle or draft. (Draft is less wasteful.)
25) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it? Buy Aliyah's real wedding ring, book a 1 year anniversary trip, and save the rest to put a deposit on and furnish an apartment for the fall.
26) What's your favorite place to hang out? My bed...? Or Waffle House, but I only ever go there with Sid.

30) Biggest pet peeve? Today? People who blatantly ignore quiet hours because "They don't care."
31) In one word, how would you describe yourself? Awesome.
32) Do you believe in/appreciate romance? Of course I do! I even managed to rekindle Aliyah's belief in romance.
33) Favorite and least favorite foods? Favorite: buttered popcorn, butter toast, ranch dressing, good olives. Least favorite: Flesh, eggplant.

35) Are you happy? I am. It's a very good life.

Arrest at a protest with no ID on me, no fingerprints on file, and no intention to give my name. It was a round-up so they picked up 100+ people at a time, and at least half of them refused to give their names. The cops figured it was a huge waste of time so they let everyone go.
