I'm relatively unworried about my parents, even though they're not leaving town because Dad got declared essential after Katrina (apparently they need more computer people on hand during disasters). Ochsner is like a fortress.

Which frees me up to worry about other people, like some of you and the neighbors and people my mom works with and my mom's whole school and - crap, who am I forgetting?

I think my evening will be spent unproductively refreshing hurricane maps and trying to get rid of this headache.

Yyyyeah, epic fail...the first day of my meteorology class, my professor pulled up the map of the projected developing storm, and he was talking about how it looks like it might be a repeat of Katrina, and he seemed so *excited* about it.

I wanted to raise my hand and be all FUCK YOU. Meh. I hope it peters out a bit. :(

I just got home from work because BN was open until 6pm today. I spent all of my breaks reloading the radar pages on my sidekick checking out the storm.
