Wyrding Studios is celebrating its fourth anniversary. A large update went live earlier this evening, featuring new pieces from older series and some completely new stuff, and older stock is on sale.

I bought Toad Lily #7 for myself and Depths of Winter: red and black for Gwyneira - I mean, I will be the one wearing it, since she is fictional. But still.

I really need a new coat, and other things.

I have a black wool coat whose lining is disintegrating. (Mom did fix it up for me last Christmas, but it is pretty much beyond repair by now.) So what I need, more specifically, is a black wool coat which is large enough to accommodate some sweaters/hoodies under it.

It's black! And wool! And, going by the measurements the seller gave, would fit me perfectly, with room for maybe a single relatively thin sweater under it.

I was outbid at the very last second, so I suppose it doesn't matter. To console myself, I bought this locket instead.

Did you get an email?? (Note to anyone reading this who isn't my mom: she's been having issues staying logged in, thereby potentially missing locked posts, so we tried to set up a notification that'll email her whenever I post.)

EDIT: Just logged into the parental account (yes I know their password, shut up) and the notification wasn't set up. So I went ahead and did that. /o\ Note to Mom: it should work from now on.

foxfirefey has written a Greasemonkey script that allows you to collapse and expand entries on your DW reading page (provided you use a core2 layout).

And my suggested feature got migrated to Bugzilla! And yvi is working on getting it implemented.

Someday, I'm going to make myself a riot prrl icon. Though I should probably wait until I've done at least a few of the exercises from the perl-for-n00bs book I got, or submitted a patch. Or something.

Work is work. FYI, a digital collection of 80+ pdfs takes a really long time to build. Which wouldn't be so bad except that I now "build early, build often" so that Greenstone doesn't eat my work again.

We had no researchers today, but we did have 197381338482892 freshmen come in looking for classrooms. Lol n00bs, although I suppose I should give them credit for figuring out where their classes are before classes actually start. (I bet we get a ton of lost freshmen tomorrow [first day of classes], a few on Thursday, and somewhere-in-the-middle on Friday [for Tuesday/Friday classes].)

So there was a big huge code push at Dreamwidth last night.

* The importer and crossposter now talk to each other. This means that an entry crossposted to LJ (or another site) can be re-imported (for instance, to consolidate comments) without creating a duplicate entry.
As a result of that, I'm re-enabling comments on crossposts to LJ, and will be importing them to DW periodically.

Cool new stuff! In particular, OpenID users can now join communities on Dreamwidth (in order to read and comment on locked entries - OpenID accounts still cannot make new posts) and it's now much easier to link to OpenID users (<user name="sofiaviolet.livejournal.com"> = sofiaviolet.livejournal.com) (although it doesn't crosspost properly). Previously one had to link to <user name="ext_2942">.

Also recently implemented was site search. It's currently restricted to paid accounts - paid journal holders can search their own journals, and any user can search the contents of a paid community. Before expanding the capabilities of search any further, Dreamwidth wants feedback on how you want site search to work.

Reading filters are expected by the next code push (omfgyay!).

(Now let's see if this helps zarhooie squish a bug.)

Memorial Day Instant Gratification at wyrding_studios!

Gwyneira is making noises about wanting a shiny, but she won't tell me what. Might get her something to go with that gown she swears she's not going to buy because it's impractical (except that she will, because Salvatore was with her when she tried it on, and he told her she looked pretty).

It's been a pretty busy few days...

Stuff for making jewelry arrived Friday morning, but the gold and silver colored wire doesn't match the plated findings, so I have to send it back and invest in gold-filled and sterling wire. Friday night, I partied with my classmates from the poetry workshop. Saturday and Sunday were the Skillshare.

I staggered through the door around three in the morning and woke up pretty late on Saturday.

I chatted with my parents for a little while, then nabbed some Popeyes and went home.

I went home a little after ten and managed to get lost on my way back to Shawmut, so I called my parents and had them read directions to me over the phone. When I got home, I finished my work for my sociology class, then checked my email and found a Dreamwidth invite code.

And here I am.
